Name:
The name of this organization is Central Mississippi Vintage Volkswagen Club.

Logo:
To symbolize Mississippi and a piece of its heritage, the club's logo includes a picture of the State and the profile of a cannon. Volkswagens are also included in the image along with the wording Central Mississippi Vintage Volkswagen Club.

Purpose:
The purpose of the Central Mississippi Vintage Volkswagen Club is to join with fellow VW enthusiasts to share, assist each other, and to enjoy our mutual hobby. Our club will provide opportunity for communication and knowledge sharing, the exchange of ideas, and technical assistance among members regarding VWs.

Our goal is to preserve, restore, and enjoy driving and collecting all classic air-cooled Volkswagens.

You do not have to own an "Old VW" to be a part of our club. We love all Volkswagens. We invite ALL VW owners to join (new and old).

Central Mississippi Vintage Volkswagen Club is a Not for Profit organization that donates its proceeds to charity.

Dues:
Club dues are currently $15 per family/year. Membership is open to ALL persons interested in Volkswagens.

Meetings:
Central Mississippi Vintage Volkswagen Club will meet monthly.

Board of Directors/Officers:
The Central Mississippi Vintage Volkswagen Club shall be governed by a Board of 5 Directors. Every March, members in good standing shall elect by majority of members choosing to vote, 5 members in good standing to fill the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer, and 2 Events Coordinators. The term of office shall be for 1 year. These officers will constitute the Board of Directors.

Duties of Officers:

President: The President shall preside at all club meetings and Board of Directors meetings. The President may create any committee and appoint any committee chairperson he/she may deem appropriate, subject to the approval of the Board. The President will also act as official spokesperson, coordinator, and overseer for the Central Mississippi Vintage Volkswagen Club as the need may arise. The President will promote membership in the club.

Vice President: The Vice President shall perform the duties of the President in his/her absence, shall help with the general activities of the Central Mississippi Vintage Volkswagen Club at the direction of the President, and perform other duties as assigned. In addition, the Vice President shall be responsible for the matters pertaining to financial interests of the Central Mississippi Vintage Volkswagen Club.

Secretary/Treasurer: The Secretary/Treasurer shall be responsible for keeping the minutes of the Central Mississippi Vintage Volkswagen Club's meetings and the Board of Directors' meetings. The Secretary/Treasurer will produce the newsletter and contact club members about upcoming events and meetings. The Secretary/Treasurer will handle new member applications and keep an updated list of members. The Secretary/Treasurer shall collect and disburse the funds of the Central Mississippi Vintage Volkswagen Club. The Secretary/Treasurer will render a financial report at least annually to the membership or as directed by the President. Excepting routine disbursements, no single expenditure in any amount exceeding $25 shall be made without prior approval of the Board of Directors. The Secretary/Treasurer shall be responsible for maintaining a current paid up membership list.

Events Coordinators: The Events Coordinators shall oversee and aid in coordination and scheduling of all events sanctioned by the Central Mississippi Vintage Volkswagen Club and using the name of the Central Mississippi Vintage Volkswagen Club.
