Here are some tips from G & J Buggin to keep your VW running like new.

  • Our VW's are pretty old and need some pampering from time to time.
  • Keep a fire extinguisher in cars at all times, they are known for catching on fire.
  • Check Intake and Exhaust Valves every 5,000 miles. Set them at .006.
  • Check oil levels often, it should hold 3 quarts. Keep an extra quart in cars at all times. Change oil often. Life of your car.
  • Check all belts often. To check, push in on the belt with your thumb and if you have pushed in 3/4 of an inch, then you need to tighten them up. Take shim our and tighten. A loose belt will burn your engine up. Keep an extra belt in your car at all times. You never know when one will break.
  • Check your car frequently.
