I would like to throw in that I also have a '73 Standard Beetle body that I will give away for free!! It's seen better days, but has all the glass (front windshield has a crack though). It's rusted through behind the rear half-moon vents like alot of the 71 and up cars, but maybe someone can find some parts they can cut out of it.

I also have a '71 Standard Beetle (whole car) that I have been using to steal a few minor parts from for my dune buggy project that I would be willing to sell for about $100. It's also rough, but has all glass, minus front windshield, and front and rear seats that will need to be re-covered.

Justin

Yep, rolling. no engine, no tranny. bent rear trailing arm, missing stabalizer bar in front, other than that complete. needs complete restore though.

I got it from glen for parts for my buggy. I swapped out the rear trailing arm cause the one on the pan I am using was bent, and I removed the stabalizer bar cause I was missing it on the other one.

Buy the '71 and I'll throw in the '73 body for parts for free.

Does that green beetle have pop-outs? almost looked like it in the pic? Also curious if one of the blocks would be a good candidate for me to learn on and could eventually be a spare 1600 DP? I wanting to learn rebuilding a motor and would prefer not to screw up on my current working one! Smile

it's been so long since i fooled with this stuff that i'm not sure where they all came frome. most would be good for a core. if you can get them apart.
then check for wear , i used up all the heads and jugs when i raced.
i'll look & see if any still turn free.

most are swing axle . let me look at the brown bug it's an irs but i'm thinking it may be an auto stick.
there was an super bug in the paper last week for $50. the guy said it had motor and trans. but the windows are broken out. 601 754 7018.
its about 2 miles off HWY 55 in Brookhaven.

Cool, let me know. I would love to have that $50 bug, but if I bring another bug home my wife will kill me!! Also, In the pic of the engines, is the one in the foreground on the right a type 4 or type 3 engine. If it's a type 4, it should be at least a 1700, if so, I want it.

Just called the guy in brookhaven, said he already sold the bug, he did say he had some old engines, front end, couple dune buggy frames and other misc parts.
